Following complaints and upon a review by the McGill Daily editorial board, the decision has been made to retract this editorial. It contained several factual inaccuracies, including a misrepresentation of the number and nature of threats made by Jonathan Mooney to campus groups, the wrongful identification of censure motions as personal attacks, and the conflation of a failure to achieve mandates with disregard for those mandates. The Daily rarely retracts articles, and to do so is to acknowledge serious error on the part of the editorial board. The Daily deeply regrets any and all errors made, and apologizes to parties negatively affected by such errors.
